Planning for Your Future
After High School
This annual event is a great opportunity for our students to meet with recent Akademeia graduates and young professionals from various fields. Students will have a chance to ask them about their university experience, seek advice or find out more about careers in their chosen field.
The event will start with two panels, followed by separate meetings with Akademeia alumni.
Panel 1: Studying abroad: benefits and challenges
In this panel, we will discuss fantastic benefits as well all the possible challenges that young person who decides to study abroad my encounter, as well as ways of dealing with them (e.g. arranging visas, looking for a new apartment, culture shock, homesickness etc.)
Panel 2: Getting into your dream university with the support of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
In this panel, we will hear from alumni about their experiences in terms of how activities outside of core curriculum supported their university decision making process and successful application.
Afterwards, AHS alumni, currently studying in top universities in the UK, Europe and US will be available to meet students online and give them first-hand insiders’ knowledge about their universities and degrees, from across vast range of disciplines and subjects.
