Art Event

We are delighted to invite everybody to the ‘Room 21’ exhibition at the contemporary art gallery – Galeria Tlen, which in the spirit of good neighborhood in miasteczko Wilanów welcomed the young creatives from our school. A total group of 15 students had been working on projects in mixed mediums for the past two years, ranging from ceramics, paintings, photographs, textiles, and they are all very enthusiastic to display their outcomes.

The title of the exhibition – Room 21 –  refers to the heart of the Creative and Performing Arts Department, an art studio at Akademeia High School, where young creatives are on their way to paving a future in the industries of design, fine arts and photography,  fashion and animation. It is where their artistic journeys in the partnership with teachers, professionals in their fields and guest practitioners often begins. Room 21, with adjacent photo & 3D printing studio and a darkroom, allows for any kind of experimentation leading students to accomplish their GCSE’s and A Levels in visual arts.

We are proud to add that the showcasing graduates have been accepted to many prestigious universities, such as Parsons School of Design in New York, Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, AAA School of Architecture in London, and National College of Art and Design in Ireland.

We warmly invite our community for the opening reception at 5:00pm on June 10th at the Tlen Gallery, when our young artists will be present to give you a glimpse into their ideas behind their work. Viewing will continue  on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12.
